Adobe Photoshop Elements 10

Trying to back up my photos from my PC, Photoshop Elements 10, so I can transfer photos to my Imac and Photoshop Elements 15.  The back up goes to 51% only.  Tried repairing the catalog and I was told no repairs needed but I repaired it anyway.  Still goes to 51% only.  Help would be greatly appreciated.  Is there another way that I can transfer to my new Imac?
