Adobe Photoshop Elements 8

New Here ,

I am getting an error message - 150:30  and a notice saying that licensing for my Photoshop Elements 8 has stopped working.

What can I do, as I want to continue to use Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.

What happened prior to you getting this error? Have you changed computers and migrated PSE8 to the new computer?

If so, that won't work. 150:30 means the licensing mechanism is broken, usually because software was migrated instead of being re-installed.

Safest option: uninstall your broken PSE 8, re-install and enter your serial number.

Same thing happened to me. I moved my hard disk to a new machine, and re-installed without uninstalling. This worked temporarily, but the next day came up with the 150:30 error.

I un-installed, and re-installed, but the error 150:30 still comes up.

I chatted to Adobe support, who told me that the activation servers have been permanently stopped.

Is there no way around this except a $au120 upgrade?

**update:**

I subsequently saw Peru Bob's link above and this fixed it.The key things I needed to do were:

Go to your username>>library>>preferences and delete:

        com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist

        Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 Paths

        Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 Settings.

N.B the user library is hidden. The quickest way to find it is from the menu bar in Finder. Click Go Whilst holding down the Option (Alt)key and choose Library.

I then uninstalled and reinstalled, and it is now working.
