Adobe PSE12 defect

New Here ,
Apr 27, 2017 Apr 27, 2017

Hi guys,

I bought Adobe PSE12 from Dell with installation key in 2014.

Now, suddenly it won't work anymore.

I get this problem report any time I open it

Adobe PS Elements12.png

Fehler APE12.png

It starts searching an then tells me that I will get notified whenever there is a solution available. This has been going on for months. Dell support can't help me, Adobe only offers me to post the problem in the forum. What can I do?

Hi tanjaw,

Please do the following-

Press 'Windows+R' key on your keyboard and type 'appwiz.cpl' (without the quotation marks). It will open 'Programs and Features' in your control panel. In the "Search' box on the top right corner of this window, type 'Web companion'. If you see a match, uninstall the program 'Web companion'.

After this please type "Command Prompt" in the search box given on the bottom left corner, run as an administrator by right-clicking it and selecting "Run as administrator."

Enter this command to reset the network adapter: "netsh winsock reset" (without the quotation marks) and hit Enter. Restart the computer.

Please let us know if this doesn't resolve the issue.

Thanks

Neeraj

Hi guys,

thanks a lot for your advice. Unfortunately both suggestions did not work. Neeraj's advice did not work, because there was no result at all searching for web companion and Dhananjay's advice did not work either. I followed all your instructions, restarted the machine but Elements still showed the same problem reports.

Maybe somebody else has a clue.

Regards, Tanja
