PSE 8 was running on the old system, PSE 12 is running on the new system. How can I transfer the album structure from the old to new system? From PSE 8 I transferred a folder "Adobe" that was located in the pictures folder. It contains all the photos. In addition I have a folder "PSE" with many XML files and several JPG files. I either exported this folder from PSE 8 or copied it from the old system. When I try to import an album structure with PSE 12 and open one of these XML files I receive an error message saying that the file cannot be read. What am I doding wrong?

You can only import the album list but this will not associate the images to the albums.

If you want to use your PSE8 catalog on new machine in PSE12, most recommended way is to take backup of your PSE8 catalog and restore it in PSE12 on your new machine.
