I have PSE11 and upgraded to 15.  I have library stored on an external drive and when I did a bulk import lots of images had a B00 start to the image file and others had IMG as normal.  Can any one tell me if I did anything wrong.  Thx Gary

The B00 files are in a backup folder.

Usually, backup folders are kept on different drives, or at least in different partitions or master folders than your library.

When you create a backup, you create a backup folder containing everything needed to restore your pictures folder trees and your catalog. The backup folder should only be used by the 'restore' process to recreate everything where you want, on the same location or elsewhere, in another computer for instance. It contains renamed copies of each picture file (starting with B00...)

So, you should exclude the backup folder from your 'bulk' import, or import selectively by selecting master folders; selecting a master folder imports all its subfolders.

Why are you importing?

You should be able to convert an existing catalog, unless you moved everything from the original locations.
