How can I draw Bézier curves? I can only find polygons. Curves don't appear to be implemented (which is a joke). Are there any decent add-ons?

What do you want to do with the Bezier curves?

The Elements text tool allows you to add text to a path which you can draw with Bezier curves.

There is a third party add-on that allows you to draw and edit paths, shapes and vectors, including bezier curves.

"What do you want to do with the Bezier curves?": I want to draw curves in pictures. Not just polygons. Normally, curves are defined by Bézier curves or B-Splines. It doesn't matter which one. Every non-trivial drawing program uses one or both of them. The Elements editor has neither. Photoshop has a Pen Tool. I think that's what I'm missing.

"a path which you can draw with Bezier curves": What do you mean by that? Can I draw some kind of "path"?

"There is a third party add-on that allows...": This looks good. I will try it.

Elements is not really a drawing program.  It is a raster based program, not one based on vectors.  So, yes, you are looking for a Pen type tool which is available in Photoshop CC.  As I said, in Elements you can place text on a curved path which can be drawn with a Pen tool.  But I think that's about it.

I found it interesting, when looking up the available add-ons, a very cheap one that is often recommended only has a pen tool for Photoshop Elements versions 10 to 14.

Thanks Gred, that path-function is funny but not what I need.

How can I send a formal request to the developers to integrate the “Pen Tool” from Photoshop into Photoshop Elements?

The short answer is:  you can't.

I believe the developers do monitor these forums, but I have not seen any great interest on this forum to support your request.
