Bug in RAW module of Photoshop Elements 2019 since last update to RAW 14.1?

New Here ,
Oct 08, 2019 Oct 08, 2019

Most of the time I batch process my RAW files(ORF) in the RAW module of Photoshop Elements 2019.
However since the last update to the newest RAW version I can't batch proces the RAW files automatic.
When I select all pictures in the module.
Profiles and White balance can be batch processed.
Every slider for light and color corrections still works in batch process modus and correct it in all pictures.
However when I click automatic for correction in the module only the picture where the focus is on is corrected
The other pictures are not corrected despite I choose select all.
When I click Standard for resetting the images to standard then the batch process works for all images.
Is this a bug?

Kind regards,
Henk Tijdink

Hi there,

We apologize for the issue you are facing while batch processing images with the latest version of Camera Raw 11.4, in Photoshop Elements 2019.

The issue where the Auto settings are not getting applied to multiple images selected in the Camera Raw module is known in the version you are currently using.

We would request you to revert to Camera Raw version 11.3 for now using the installer in the link mentioned below.

Regards,

Nikunj

nikunj, this is the Photoshop Elements forum.  I don't think the installer that you linked works in Elements

I agree with Greg. I am afraid the solution would be to uninstall PSE2019 completely and reinstall it without updating the ACR module.. which is not 11.3 !!!

By the way, this known bug in ACR 14.1 may be the reason why PSE2019 has an update for ACR14.0.273 while the new PSE2020 has only 13.0. Let's hope that an update to PSE 2020 will bring the corrected version of 14.1, But I am skeptical, since it has taken one year for Adobe to provide an upgrade for ACR without the two new sliders in that 14 version.

Apologies for the error earlier. It is correct that unlike Photoshop, the Camera Raw version for Photoshop Elements would not revert to an older version using the link to the installer I provided earlier. You would need to uninstall and re-install Photoshop elements and then do not run the update when you get the prompt.

We are currently working with the product team to come up with a resolution.
