Camera RAW locking machine. Task Mgr has to be used to continue using the machine.

I am  running Elements 2024 Windows 11 successfully (mostly!). The machine is powerful enough to run Topaz Phot0 A1 pretty quiciky. When I try to use Open in Camera Raw within Elements, the machine locks up. If I revert to Elements 9 and open files using Open As Camera RAW, I can access the useful RAW editor. I did not have any problems using the RAW editor in Elements 2023. I wish I hadn´t upgraded to 2024.

Help About Plugins tells me that I have loaded RAW 16.0.0.1677.  

Any advice ?

It seems you are experiencing issues with Adobe Photoshop Elements 2024 on Windows 11 when trying to use the Open in Camera Raw option.

Please try the following steps :

• Update the graphics driver to the latest version, as outdated drivers can cause freezing.
• Ensure Windows 11 is fully updated and try running Elements 2024 in Windows 10 compatibility mode.

I have checked W11 and driver updates - nothing available. The Windows
Compatibility under Windows 2024 Properties only lists Windows 8 and
Elements does not appear under the list of apps.

Camera RAW works in Elements 2023. I think I will revert to using that.
