Camera RAW plugin Elements 15 / Fujifilm X-E3

Currently running Windows 10 64bit. Elements 15

I have just changed my camera from a Canon 60D to a Fujifilm X-E3 and their information sheets say that I need Camera RAW Plugin 10.

I dont seem to be able to download version 10 but have downloaded version 10.5.

I opened it and tried to install it but it has disappeared into the computer somewhere!

Current plugin is 9.5.

The X-E3 was first supported by Camera Raw 10.0 but only Elements 2018 is compatible with that version of Camera Raw.

Elements 15 can only be updated to Camera Raw 9.10 so you'll never be able to open X-E3 Raw files in Elements 15.

Camera Raw plug-in and Adobe application compatibility

Options:

1. Pay to upgrade to Elements 2018, then update to Camera Raw 10.5 (current), or
2. Download the free Adobe DNG converter and batch convert all your X-E3 Raw files to DNG format. Then edit the DNG files (not the Raw files) in Elements 15. An extra step for you but no extra cost.

FWIW, I doubt Elements 2018 will update to ACR 10.5.  Elements usually only accepts ACR versions from the early spring after which time development is frozen for the current version while they start on the new version, that usually comes out in the October timeframe.

In other words, the DNG Converter may be the only option even if you purchased Elements 2018, so if you're going to buy an upgrade, I'd suggest you wait until PSE2019 (or whatever it's called) comes out in a month or two.

Fair call although the OP only needs 10.0 to open Raw files from the X-E3.

But using the DNG converter whilst waiting for Elements 2019 is probably the best course of action for now.

Have just ordered V18 as an upgrade. DNG is messy and so I am currently using SILKYPIX available from Fuji Global FOC.

I have just telephones Adobe to clarify the situation and they confirm that Elements 18 is shipped with Plugin 10.5 so we shall see. Due for dispatch 9 Sept.
