Can not import photos from iMac to Elements 2026

New Here ,

I am using Photoshop Elements 2026 on an iMac desktop running OS Tahoe 26.1.  When using the “Import” button, I do not see the option labelled “from camera or card reader”.   How do I import from card reader now?

That's in the organizer.

I just copy the images from varioous chips into a folder and make sure the folder is in a monitored directory- in this case my picutres directory.  Organzier will look for changes, then import them.

I did just that with all the images you see below.   Didn't even take 1 minute of effort.

Yes i does seem to be missing from the Mac side in the PSE 2026 Organizer and in fact if one looks in the Adobe Elements 2026 Organizer.app under Contents>MacOS, the Photo Downloader.app is not there as it in previous PSE Organizers.

One way to import your photos is to use Import From Files and Folders and in the Finder window sidebar you should see your camera listed.

I have the same issue.  The replies are workarounds but not solutions.  If Adobe looks at these forums I wish they would comment and look into a solution.

Wow!  I suppose it is possible that this feature has been removed on the Mac side, but I don't recall that being mentioned anywhere.  I am going to report it to Adobe as a bug.
