Hi,

Not enough information for us to suggest a solution.

Which operating system are you running on?

Which version of Photoshop Elements are you using?

Normally printers are just output devices so I suspect you have an all-in-one printer/scanner - which model?

Have you checked to see if there are any driver updates for the printer?

Brian

Hi George,

I'm in the UK so there is about 4 hours time difference.

I'm afraid that I don't have Windows 7 or PSE 4 so you might have to modify my following comments.

In Windows 7, have a look at device manager [you might have to go to control panel]. I would expect to see at least 3 entries for your all-in-one, under printers (for printing), under imaging devices (for scanning) and under disk drives (the SD card reader).

If the disk drive doesn't show up there then you probably have a system problem - might even be a hardware fault on your printer.

If it does show up in device manager, try loading Windows file explorer and see if that can see the card contents. If it can't, then there might be a problem with the actual SD card - can you try another one?

If the files show up in explorer, then load the organizer and go to File -> Edit -> Preferences - Camera or Card Reader and check the settings there.

Does it act the same under PSE 13?

Does any of your friends have a standalone card reader that you could try?

Brian

Hello Brian, Yes, It seems I may have a problem with the drives, last week Kodak tried to assist, seems I can print, scan, copy, But no function for card reader, I did try all you mentioned, But can not transfer from SD card in printer to Photo Elements, most Elements Programs are the same, I usually turn on printer, go to my Elements program, go to file, look for how I want to capture photos, card reader, or camera, insert SD card, and it starts to down load, then I put them in my organizer, so easy I Thank you for all Your input, looks like I will have to get in touch with Kodak Support,  Im in South Jersey Near Atlantic City, if You want to have some fun, Your can look it up to give you an idea as to where I live, will keep you posted, Thanks so Much, George McBride
