HELP!!! HI Guys, I suddenly CAN NOT save my files in Photoshop Elements 14.1. It was fine last night, but tonight it will NOT SAVE or SAVE AS. After trying various things, I uninstalled PSE 14 & reinstalled

from my disc. This has made NO differance. Would appreciate any help, as I am in the middle of editing my first wedding photo's, so NOT good timing. All other editing elements seem to be working fine, as does my NIK plug-in software.

It's VERY odd, as it's been fine up to now. I have had PSE 14 for about 4 years now & it's been working fine!!

Try resetting the preferences file. Go to Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button.

Quite amazing you even have version 2.0 to run.   You did jump onto a thread that is more than 3 years old.

You need to do what's on this page.  Good luck, your software is 22 years old.

DANGER DANGER DANGER: You HDD the software is installed on cannot have more than 1TB of free space, otherwise you get a scratch disk is full error message.

Yes, I know. Old software. But....worked fine until recently.  No changes in operating sytem, computer,  or anything. In desperation I did a total UnInstall and a fresh Reinstall (from the orig. install CD using the the registration key).  Install went fine.  But still FUBAR -- can't save an edited file.   Bugs me that I can't figure it out.  I think now it has something to do with the old  install (Since uninstalled) and the new install not being "registered."   installed, yes. But not yet registered.  Why it but got "unreghistered" is a mystery. The install took the registration key to re-install just fine.  But why when I try to reigster with the UN/PW I have on record for the software, it tells me that "This registration is already in use" and won't let me "register."      I can see no way to get it registered now.

As you said, 20+ years old software.  Such is life.

Thanks for your input.
