Can Place name folders be merged?

I have some places listed under folder "Spain/Canarias" and some under "Spain/Kanarische Inseln" which mean exactly the same. Same for "France/Occitanie" and "France/Okzitanien" etc. How can I move the places below "Spain/Canarias" under "Spain/Kanarische Inseln" ?

Can you please mention whether these place names are Place tags or Folder names? You can provide us a screenshot of the application showing this, for us to point you to the solution in a better way.

Here is an example with "Occitanie" being the same as "Okzitanien" and I want to move "Vers-Pont-du-Gard" under "Okzitanien". Originally these tags were created under PSE12.
