Can't drag an image from one tab to another tab in Photoshop Elements 12

Community Beginner ,

I was able to do this without issue until I updated my computer to Windows 10 and had to reinstall Elements 12. Now I am unable to drag an image from one tab to another tab by dragging and dropping on the tabs at the top. I don't want to float windows nor do I want to have to view several columns in a layout. Help, please!

Hi jelold,

Thanks for posting in forums.

I understand you are facing issue with Adobe Photoshop Elements 12.

Could you please try the following steps:

Firstly,

- Open Photoshop Elements

- Click "Edit"

- Click "Preferences"

- Click "General"

- Click " Reset preferences on the next launch"

- Re-open the program & test Elements again.

Thanks

Regards

Hi jelold,

Can we try to use "Photo Bin" to drag your image from one tab to another.

Please check this article for reference.

Hope this works

Happy Editing

I am able to do it from there, but that requires an extra step I didn't have before. I used to be able to drag an image right up to the tab I wanted to put it on and it would drop into place. I don't want to have to go click on Photo Bin to be able to do this task.
