Can't open .psd files in Elements 22

Hi, I've got a designer to create .psd files for me on Fiverr but I'm unable to open them.

Elements always gives me an error stating that it ain't a valid .psd file.

He tells me he never had such a problem, already tried to save and upload them again but it ain't working.

Any idea how to solve such a problem?

Trying to figure things out with your problem will allmost be impossible: someone else created the work.

Quickest way to see whats going on:  send the file to someone /  put it  on your dropbox / post a link to it.  

You send a link to anyone, myself included, we could tell you, probably within 5 minutes whats wrong.
