Hi,
Do you use the Windows Apps In-install facility?
Do you get any error message?
Are you now using another version of PSE?

I used uninstall in windows 10 & it left an Adobe folder in program folder (x86). I did this because I was having a problem loading edit in pse7 after a major windows update and a suggested fix was to uninstall & reinstall pse7. when I tried to reinstall it I got an error..
I tried deleting the folder & I was told I didn't permission, which I tried to change several different ways to no avail. I now want to try a
loading pse13 & don't know if it will b able to load.
Thanks Rich K.

Hi,
When I uninstalled PSE 7, it left just the Plug-ins folder which I could delete. You could try restarting Windows 10 in safe mode to see if you can delete the folder.
The load of PSE 13 should be independent of any other version. You may have a problem with the 13.1 update. Come back if you do.

Thanks Restarted in safe mode & was able to delete x86 adobe file folder. Reinstalled pse7 OK, however when I went to open it couldn't locate exe. file. Not sure what to do. Looks like program is OK but won't start up. pse icon shows on my home page. can't
find exe. file in folder.

Hi,
By default, the editor program is in the following folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 7.0
The executable is the following file
PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe
Is the folder and/or file on your system?

The folder named Photo Elements 7.0 is missing most of the files I had installed Pse7 on 2nd older PC recently just to see if it ran OK & I looked at the folders & files so I know what's missing. I'm going to attempt to reload the program, but I may have to go into safe mode again & delete everything. Thanks for all the info., it's been a big help.

Hi Rich,
Where are you installing from CD or download?
Note: For version 7, the serial number must match the media - i.e. the CD serial number will not work with a download.
Unfortunately, when PSE gets installed, as well as the files being copied, the registry gets updated and that may cause a re-install to fail.

I have a CD with the serial number. I'm suspicious that the registry has problems but not sure how to fix it.
I haven't to try to delete the last install &: re install yet.

Hi Rich,
Do you have Ccleaner? - I use it to see if there are any registry errors and it cleans some of them.
Be very careful when editing the registry - but then I expect you know that
