Just upgraded to elements 15 from 12 and find I cannot display the filename from the View menu - it is greyed out. Any ideas?

Just use the shortcut 'Ctrl D' to switch from the new 'adaptative grid' view to the old 'detailed view you are used to.

- adaptative view: useful for visual browsing, twice as many thumbnails or twice as big ones

- detailed view: possibility to show filename, date and stack/version sets icons.

Ctrl & D does nothing - I am on Windows 7 if that affects anything

The shortcut Ctrl + D is the same as the menu 'View >> Details. It takes a few seconds to switch, so using the menu may be faster for you.

Original solution was actually correct, but I had missed the step that you had to go back to the Grid view, where you CAN select Details and then tick File Names, which will then show up when viewing individual files.

I was originally looking at a particular file, expecting the filename to be displayed underneath and all that was there was the date and time the photo was taken
