I have an iMac with OS Sierra version 10.12.3. I purchased photoshop elements online and dowloaded the app from Adobe. I got to the point of putting in my serial number, having it accepted, etc., and clicking the elements icon to install it on my computer. The installation just sat there with the little wheel going around. My iMac is brand new and is fairly pristine in terms of apps and other things that could screw up an install. So what to do?
I am an artist who absolutely needs photoshop every day. I own Adobe CS6 disks, but couldn't install the program on my computer from the disks. I don't understand what's happening. PLEASE HELP.

Have you tried downloading CS6 from
Download Adobe Creative Suite 6 applications
Then follow these steps to install

Thank you John. Haven't tried that but will do. Not hopeful, though.

Give it a go.
Lots of success reported in these forums following those steps.

Tried to download but the download was corrupted and stopped. Never made it past the first step. Also, the instructions on the page you referenced read like Greek to me. I'm not familiar with those terms, so it's hard to follow the instructions. Thanks for your time, though.
