Hi,

Ligit Elements 2021 downloaded from my "Adobe products page" refuses to install on my new Windows 11 computer (Dell EBT 2250 Desktop). Tried a few times. Went to different state of installation up to 22%.  The kind of errors varies form time to time :

1) MSVCP.dll was n ot found

2) Error 183 https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-download-install-logs.html#error_183

I did pause OneDrive, disable McAfee antivirus and firewall. Still refuses to install, for the same errors. Plesase advise. Thanks

P.s.: I am not computer savy.

Try installing the Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 package (both the x64 and x86 versions).

Go here, downlaod it, install it, then forget about it.  You can't get "signed up" for anything.   Just install it, then forget  about it.   Once you do that- then install elements.

Hi Glenn,

Thank you for your reply. I already have Creative Cloud installed. From there, before I tried to install PSE 2021, I had successfully installed Lightroom Classic (LrC). From there also, after receiving your reply, I have installed Photoshop Desktop. In prevision of my new computer I had before subscibed to the 20 Gb photography plan. This why LrC and Phtoshop are shown and available for download in my Creative Cloud application. However, in my Creative Cloud application, I do not see PSE 2021.  I did not find anyway to add it. To access it, I have to go to My Adobee Account > Plans and Payments > Products. There, PSE 2021 is well identified (as version 19.0), with the key number and a link to download the installation file "PhotoshopElements_2021_LS30_win64.exe". I just retried as usual by clicking twice on this donloaded file on my new computer, but the same thing happens : It stops the intallation, with the same error 183 .

Hi,

I did what Greg said and installed  Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 package (both the x64 and x86 versions). It solved the problem. Afterwads, PSE 2021 installed perfectly on the first attempt. Just in case it could be usefull to someone who would fall on this conversation in the future, I am adding another link regarding the same topic.
