Cannot resize images onto the work space.

I used to be able to have multiple images open and when I drag them from thier tabs into the workspace it automatically made them smaller so they could float in the workspace and I could move them around. With Elements 2026 it opens every file in full size and fills the workspace and I can only see one on screen at a time. Is there a way to get back the floating images/tabs so I can see them side by side? I've played around a bit and can't see a way to do this.

First, make sure you are in Expert mode.

Edit > Preferences > General > Allow floating documents in Expert Mode.
