Cannot type Text onto photo

New Here ,
Aug 22, 2017 Aug 22, 2017

I have Elements 14 and it has suddenly stopped me typing Text on the photos. It states.

Could not complete your request because something prevented the text engine being initialized.

Please help.

Quit Elements.

Try deleting the font cache or renaming it if preferred. Navigate to:

C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\14.0

Inside the 14.0 folder find the folder CT Font Cache and right-click on it and choose Rename. Change the name to Old CT Font Cache

Re-launch the PSE14 Editor.

N.B if you can’t immediately find AppData bring up the run dialog by holding down the Windows key (usually to the left of Alt) and pressing the R key

Type into the dialog box: %appdata% and press return.

Then follow the path to the 14.0 folder
