Canon Pixma ip8720 & PSE 15

I am having trouble getting PSE and Canon to print out the correct colors of some artwork I designed. This is a brand new printer.  I called Canon to see what I was doing wrong, and they said they had heard from A LOT of people that were calling with this same problem.  They said it was an Adobe problem, not a Canon problem.  The colors are dark and subdued, and won't even print the aqua that is in my design.  What can I do, and has anyone else had this problem?  I have it set up for PSE to do color management, not the printer.  Please help so I don't have to send this printer back!!!

Did they say why?

Have you calibrated your monitor?

My setup is to let PSE manage colors as well, but what happens when you let the printer manage colors?

Have you tried printing from another printer, e.g. Epson with genuine Epson ink & paper?
