catalog failed to import

I had Elements 13, and had two catalogs. I just upgraded to Elements 2018. When I opened 2018 one of my catalogs imported and was there. I just opened 2018 to work with the other catalog, and it is missing. How do I recover it and add it to Elements 2018? Needless to say, loss of the catalog is unacceptable. It is irreplaceable.

Hi,

You need to convert the other catalog from the previous version to use it in PSE 2018.

Please follow the following steps:

1 Launch Organizer 2018.

2 Open catalog manager (File menu -> Manage Catalogs).

3.In the catalog manager, click on Convert button.

4. A new dialog will open which will list previous version catalogs. Select the catalog you want to convert and click on convert button. Once the conversion is complete it will be listed in your catalogs. You can select to use it.

Please revert if you face issues.

Thanks

Thanks. This got me in the right direction. When I clicked convert, it showed only the current catalog created by Elements 13 organizer. If I clicked "show previously converted catalogs" it also showed "my catalog" created by Elements 11 organizer. I click "find more catalogs" and browsed to find catalog the other catalog. I don't know why Elements didn't know about it, since it was present in Elements 13. In any event, I selected it and converted it, and it seems to be working normally. So, my initial panic has subsided. Thanks.

Now that I look at the converted catalog, it is only the thumbnails. When I look at the images larger, they are blurry and all captions and tags are missing. The actual images and their associated captions and tags, and likely their filenames, did not come into Elements. Now what?

Is there going to be any useful response from Adobe on this?
