Passo passo..
Ho Photoshop Elements 15.
Grazie, Ciao
Provo a tradurre....
Hi, I would like to know if you can also catalog photos saved on media other than PC HDD. In practice, I would like to know if it is possible to insert a CD / DVD of images and catalog them, so that they remain cataloged on a PC; to be able to find them easily.
Also, I would like to know if, cataloging the images in my HDD of the PC, will remain cataloged even if moved on CD / DVD support.
If all this is possible, I would like to know how to do it? Step by step..
I have Photoshop Elements 15.

Hello, first of all thanks for answering.
It's ok but I did not understand the last part. To catalog CDs and DVDs I meant without copying the images from them to on my PC, but simply cataloging them, so that when I look for a photo, Elements indicate to me in which CD or DVd it is. I do not know if it's possible .. but it would be immensely useful.
My English is very scholastic so I apologize if I will not be very precise.
Thanks again for the help!
Your English is perfect for me, but

(Your translation seems perfect for me .)
In short, the organizer can manage your photo/video files on internal or external drives, but also on 'removable' media like CD, DVD, USB sticks or card readers.
External USB drives are managed exactly like internal drives, but the other categories have special options at 'Import' (downloading) time.
How does it work for your catalog?
For external media like card readers or cameras and also CD/DVDs, by default, you are supposed to want to copy their contents on your computer and to manage them in your catalogs.
The 'import' import command has the choice:
1 - to import from 'camera or card reader', which automatically creates a copy on your computer and indexes its contents in the catalog
2 - to import from 'files or folders'. In that case, which is normal for files already copied on your computer, the organizer does not copy the files and only indexes the files in the catalog.
- There is a third option that you can use with removable media like CD or DVDs. It's to choose to import from files or folders as if the media were internal and not removable. There is no copy on your computer, but of course, you need to have the right CD/DVD inserted in your reader in your computer. The files are indexed exactly as if they were in the internal drive (all exif data, your tags, the thumbnail).
Edit:
In the options in the bottom of the dialog, you uncheck 'copy files on import' and you check 'generate preview". The size of the previews can be set in your preferences.
- and... there is an option within that last option. You can opt to create reduced copies of your photo files in your computer. Instead of working with very small 'thumbnails' in the catalog to manage the image visually, you have medium sized copies which make organizing easy even if the CD/DVD is not present. I think you should consider that option if you have many CDs to manage.
Give me some time to retrieve the help docs for managing external drives...

Your English is perfect for me, but you can also use your native language... . I'll answer in English.
Read my suggestion of option Nr 2 to import from 'Files and Folders'. In the downloader you have several options in the bottom part, including a checkbox offering to copy files at import (you don't want that, uncheck it). Optionally, another checkbox to store small copies on your computer for organizing purposes (they will be bigger than the 'thumbnails' stored in your catalog, those are only 320 x 240 pixels.)
So, Yes, the catalog will index and organize the files on your CDs without having to copy the files on your computer.
That was common 10 years ago, less so today. That also explains that I have not yet found help docs by Adobe. I'll try to find old archives about this. I have not yet tested how the CD or DVD will be identified, but that did work and should stil work today.
