Clicking on Open

New Here ,
Jun 02, 2017 Jun 02, 2017

First, everything was working fine until today.  Clicked on Photoshop Elements, its icon on my PC screen.  Photo Editor appeared.  When I clicked on the down-pointing arrow for Open, nothing happened.  Could not see Open appear and be able to click on it.  There was only the Photo Editor panel to click on.  (However, this did not happen with Premiere/Video Editor; here I could click on Open.)

When all is working fine, I click on Open and I see my Pictures Library (in my PC) and I select the picture(s) I want from it for editing.

Also as Cropping is the feature I use most, Cropping did not behave as before, locking me into After and a check mark immediately.  Normally I crop unrestricted and put the check mark down after I am happy with how the picture looks.

Thanking somebody, Orest

Hi orestk,

Thanks for posting in Adobe forum.

I understand you are facing issue with the functionality of Adobe Elements.

Could you please try the following steps:

Firstly,

- Open Photoshop Elements

- Click "Edit"

- Click "Preferences"

- Click "General"

- Click " Reset preferences on the next launch"

- Re-open the program & test Elements again.

Hope this works

Thanks

Regards

Dhananjay
