Clone tool in pse 11 isn’t working right

New Here ,
Sep 22, 2019 Sep 22, 2019

The clone stamp tool target circle is obscured with areas I have already cloned.  How do I clear it up so I can see if I’m putting it in the right area for new cloning?

Be aware that you can change the size of the cursor with the bracket keys [&} next to the letter P on the keyboard.                  On the clone stamp tool's option bar, check "Sample all Layers"                                                                                               Uncheck "Aligned"                                                                                                                                                                    Open a blank layer at the top in the layers palette and do the cloning on this layer. If necessary, you can activate the move tool and drag the      deposited pixels to fine tune.

Thank you. Unchecking the “Aligned” did the trick but I don’t know why. Thank you again.
