This is a simple question:  I am 70 years old, our children strong armed us into upgrading from Vista to windows 10, now my wife's PSE 6 will not run on windows 10.  Is this a compatibility issue or something else?

PSE 6 may not run on Windows 10.

PSE6 is quite old.  Did you try running it in XP Compatibiliy Mode?

PSE6 is not tested for Windows 10. Old versions of PSE may or may not work on new operating systems. What is the issue that you are seeing in PSE6?

I would suggest you to upgrade to PSE15 which has a lot more new features for easy and quick photo editing.
