Hi,
I have a big problem converting NEF files to monochrome with PSE 14. When I open the photo the Camera Raw window appears In my case it is "Camera Raw 9.5 - Nikon D750".
The problem starts when I attempt to convert the photo into Black and White. If I have understood correctly I should have the possibility of clicking on "Convert to Greyscale", but this option is not available . Under the histogram I have only 3 options available : Basic settings, Details and Camera adjustments (sorry for the translation but I am in France).
This means that I do not have access to the Tone Curve either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks to all
Kevin

More details:
You can convert to black and white in many ways once you click on the 'Ouvrir une image' button to open in the organizer. The menu 'Réglage >> convertir en noir et blanc' is very good. You can also use the color options or the gradient map layer tool.
If you want to convert in the ACR module itself, you'll have to mainly desaturate your image.
You can get different effects similar to colored filters by playing with the températurs et teinte sliders (for instance, red or yellow/green filter effects.
You can play with the global contrast or fine tune the shadows or highlights.
Very often the 'Clarté' slider will give more local contrast (depth) to black and white pictures.
One of the advantages of conversion in ACR is that you are editing internally in 16-bits mode, which is important to avoid posterization.
