I'm moving from Photoshop Elements 2 to Photoshop Elements 2018. BIG JUMP
One feature I used extensively was "Create Photomerge" which simply required me to pick two images off my computer and say okay.
If it couldn't create the photomerge it still loaded the images and I could move them around with the mouse to create the photomerge.
On 2018, Photomerge is there but it is restricted to panorama and several other non useful options.
So how do I just paste two images beside each other and create a new image ????
I've looked at videos and tried this for 2 hours now and it still doesn't work
Cheers
Fred

The Photomerge guided edits cover the most common usage situations but you can create something manually in Expert mode.
File >> New >> Blank File
Set your dimensions, resolutions, and background color; then click OK.
To add individual images use:
File >> Place
Use the move tool to position each layer, and masking to blend.

Thank you. It worked. A little bit clunkier than the Elements 2 process but I guess this process meets more user needs. Thanks for the quick, correct and accurate answer
