Default Printers

My Canon 6550 died and I replaced it with an ix6850. Word, Acrobat and browsers recognise and print to it in Windows 10 but Elements 13 refuses to print.  It produces messages such as " default printer could not be opened" or "requested printer does not exist". It will not even send print to pdf printer or one-note. I checked for updates but all OK.

iI tried my Elements 9 but since Creator Edition the drop down menus do not work.

My only option is to save my prints and use Canon Image Garden.

Any ideas?

Are you unable to print via Editor and Organizer?

Have you reset preferences in PSE to default?

Have you checked on Canon web site to be sure that you have the latest driver, esp. in view of the recent forced WIN10 update?
