How to Fix Windows Store Error 0x80073D05?

Solution 1- Delete Windows Store Cache

First of all, you should try clearing Windows Store Cache to fix “Error code: 0x803fb005” issue. And for this, follow the below steps:

  • Hold ‘Windows’ key and press ‘R’ at the same time.
  • Type in ‘C:\\Windows\\System32’ and press ‘Enter’ (C: drive indicates the PC’s root drive)
  • Once the System32 folder appears, find ‘WSReset.exe app’. Right-click on it and opt for ‘Run as Administrator’.
  • After that, the Windows Store window will notify you that “The cache for the Store was cleared. You can now browse the Store for apps.”

Probability is after this step, you may get another error message saying that “Windows Store cache may be damaged.” If that happens, you should rename “Windows Store Cache folder”.

  • Now, tap on ‘Win’ key + ‘R’.
  • Copy-paste ‘C:\\Users\\\\AppData\\Local\\Packages\\Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe\\LocalState’ and hit ‘Enter’.

Note: You need to type the letter of your PC’s root diver instead of C:. You should also replace it by your user name.

  • Once the ‘ LocalState’ folder appears, locate ‘Cache folder’ and change its name to ‘Cache.old
  • After that, on the ‘LocalState’ folder, right-click on the empty space and opt for ‘Add New -> Folder’.
  • Name it in ‘Cache’.
  • Now, close File Explorer and reboot the device.
