Does the new Elements (disc version) support Nikon D6 Raw files?  I have 2019 version and it does not support the Nikin d6 Raw files.

Thanks

The simple answer is yes.

Raw images from cameras are first opened by Camera Raw, a plugin for Elements. Camera Raw has to be regularly updated to support new cameras and different version of Elements are compatible with different versions of Camera Raw.

In short, the D6 was first supported in Camera Raw 12.2.1

The current version of Elements (version 2021) ships with Camera Raw 12.3 so it also includes support for all other cameras prior to that - which includes the D6.

Elements 2021 can also be updated to Camera Raw 13.0 which will add support for other new cameras.

You might find that you can update your Adobe Camera Raw plug-in to version 12.2.1 using this workaround:

Update the Camera Raw version on your Mac or Windows machine

Good to know @Phil Pickering

Adobe seem to be voluntarily compromising upgrades to the current version with this workaround. Curious.
