Does Elements 2022 support CR3?

I have a new Canon T8i and old elements 14.  I was about to upgrade to elements 2022 but I can't get confirmation it accepts RAW CR3 files.  I don't want to have to convert to DNG or Tiff to use in elements.

Canon has some other RAW format, that creates smaller files, but I assume only Canon software uses it.

CR2 and CR3 Canon file formats apply to many different models in the Canon family. However, each camera model has its own unique CR3 format. So, for example, EOS M50 CR3 files are different to T8i CR3 files. Thus, Adobe Camera Raw support applies on a model by model basis.

The T8i was first supported in Camera Raw 12.2.1 (and all later versions)

Elements 14 is only compatible with Camera Raw up to version 9.5 so it cannot open T8i Raw files. You have to convert to DNG.

I believe Elements 2022 ships with Camera Raw 14 [later confirmed as 13.3] (Adobe has not yet updated the link above to include Elements 2022) so it will open T8i Raw files out of the box.

You can always download the trial version and use it for free for up to 30 days to see if it does what you want it to prior to purchase.

So Elements 2022 ships with ACR 13.3?  And that will work with T8i CR3 files?

As stated by @John Waller , your camera requires version 12.21, so version 13.3 will work.

As you can see, you camera was already supported in PSE2021.

Great reply.  Very helpful.  I'm going to download the trial to make sure.  I'm surprised Adobe has not updated link.  Thanks.
