Download and delete help

I have a Nikon D5600. Just bought Adobe photoshop elements 2023 basic. Never used before and am a new user to camera as well. I have looked at tutorials but have not found the one specific to my situation. I downloaded over 300 pics from cruise trip to Photoshop. They were small and at the bottom of page and I downloaded in HIW but should I have downloaded in raw? If so, How do I delete those that I downloaded in a mass delete, from Adobe or should I so I can download the raw versions?

Is there a tutorial that covers this?
