Drop Downs (such as File) won't work after PhotoShop Elements 15 install

Hi All,

Maybe someone else out there has had this issue. I previously had PSE 14 and purchased PSE 15. I have tried (4x) to install. It installs and I do not receive any error messages, but it will not allow me to use the drop downs (such as file, edit, etc). I don't know if this is because I have my backup catalog for 14 and all of my pictures on a connected external drive or if there is interference from another program? I have followed all of the troubleshooting guides. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Amanda

Are you working on a notebook/laptop with a short display? Sometimes the menu bar is hidden but I’m guessing you can see the menu bar but nothing happens when you click.

Have you tried using the keyboard shortcuts with the Alt key? e.g for the Editor:

Alt+F = File

Alt+E = Edit

Alt+N = Enhance

Alt+L = Layer

Alt+S = Select

Alt+W = Window

Alt+H = Help

Or is the problem only seen in Organizer?

It looks like Auto Hide Taskbar is ON on your machine.

Requesting you to please try out the instructions mentioned in the article Mouse cursor not visible or menus not opening in Adobe Elements Organizer

Let us know if you are still facing any issue.

Thanks,
Anwesha
