I have downloaded Elements 2020 as a trial, to see what is better than 2018. When I do a seach in Organizer it brings up the search results but when I go to switch to grid mode it freezes and I have to shut the programn down.

I have 2018 and it works fine on the same system.

What OS are you using?  How large is your catalog?

What happens if you turn off all auto-analysis in Edit>Preferences?Media Analysis?

I am using win 10 1903  my catalog has 83925 items. It still happens when I turn off all auto analysis . I am accessing the exact same images with the 2018 version and it is working fine. It is just that all the tags I have added with the 2020 version are not present when I open the catolog again in the 2018 version.

I disabled graphics card went with onboard graphics card same issue. My trial period here with the program is almost up. So will not be able to do much more testing. I do not wish to purchase the new version if it doesn't work.

Ok I decided to give it one more try this morning. I switched to the onboard graphics card again same as before. When I performed the search and tried to switch to grid mode with the results the program worked, it didn't freeze up. I than switched back to the NVIDIA graphics card and it freezes and crashes. This time it generated a crash log and gave me an importunity to send it to Adobe. I sent the crash report so will see what happens.,
