My last attemp seems to have been rejected. I'll try again.
Elements 10+ programm is not responding when my 'focus stacking' command is made during stacking of 10 macro photos.
All layers are prepared correctly, but elements refuses to proceed.
As an experiment only, photo stacking suffers the same way.
Suggestions?

I don't know why you say it was rejected... since it is at Elements 10 + [Suddenly unable to use photo stack to process my macro photography shots.]

Based on your other message...
Two ideas that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10
-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window
-or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL Windows permissions may help... says Encore, but sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account)
Owners of old programs simply have problems with Windows 10... none of which is Adobe's fault... Adobe did not change your old program to make it stop working... Microsoft changed their operating system and THAT is why your old program won't work, not because of anything Adobe did... Also... every time Microsoft issues a Win10 update, there is the risk that an old program that HAS been working after the initial Win10 upgrade will STOP working... bottom line, old programs require a matching old operating system

Thanks John,
You have confirmed my suspicions.
The digital world must continually be fed with more dollars supporting our desires for increased and/or continuation of computer capabilities. (and hardware compatability!)
Put another way, we need to spend to support our spending! (same as buying anew car I guess)
I will however try your much appreciated suggestions, and also continue to investigate the why? factor, as this has not happened in all previous image stacking projects (using PSE focus stacking).

What adobe application are you using?
As far as i know. photoshop elements doesn't have any Focus Stacking commands.
Are you using an add-on like Elements+?

Hi Jeff,
Yes I purchased elements plus to obtain scripts for use in macro photo
stacking (under the focus stacking command) to achieve a good 10 shot
result.
