Elements 11 organiser

I have just deleted a large number of unwanted photos from elements 11 organiser and see on the associated hard drive that large gaps have been left between remaining files. My question is, is it safe to use the mac disk clean up to remove the gaps or should I leave well alone?

Where these large gaps?  Are they in Organizer when you open it or are you talking about gaps in hard disk?  If the gaps are in Hard disk then just leave it alone.  Don't touch it.  How you manage to see these gaps is beyond me because you can't see them unless you use something like defragment tools.

If, however, the gaps are in Organizer then try to sort them to see if the gaps are filled up.  To do this go to:

View >> Sort By

You get three options and try all 3 of them so that the gaps are filled up.

Thanks for reply. Gaps are on hard drive so I will leave them alone.
