Hi everybody, I 've recently bought the Nikon D7500 camera and PS Elements 13 don't open the raw pics.
I downloaded installed the last Camera Raw Plugin for MAC (CameraRaw_9_12.pkg) but nothing changed: see on "about camera raw plugin the version displayed is "9.0.0.414".
Checking the path: Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles/Camera/Nikon D7500 I see some file inside and I think they are the correct files for my new camera.
Do you know why Ps Elements 13 can not open these raw pics?
Thank a lot for you support.
Roberto

Camera Raw plug-in and Adobe application compatibility
The D7500 was first supported in Camera Raw 9.12 which is not compatible with any version of Elements. That usually indicates that a new version of Elements is imminent.
You'll never be able to open those Raw files in Elements 13 because Adobe never issues updates for outdated software versions. There probably won't even be an update for the current version 15.
Youll have to use the free DNG converter.
Download the converter version 9.12 from Digital Negative (DNG), Adobe DNG Converter | Adobe Photoshop CC
Convert folders of Raw files to DNG format. Then edit the DNG files (not the Raw files) in Elements 13.

Roberto,
Your camera is too new for your PSE13.
FAQ: Will Photoshop Elements work with my camera, or Why won't my raw files open?

Camera Raw plug-in and Adobe application compatibility
There is no ACR 9.12 supported even in PSE15.
As you have found, PSE13 can only be updated to ACR 9.0.
So, you need to download an use the free Adobe DNGconverter mentioned in the first link above.
It's an independent software, not a plugin. It can batch convert a whole folder of your raw files to the DNG raw format that PSE13 can read and edit. Another step, but free, and you keep all the advantages of raw conversion.
