Elements 13 Editor has stopped working.ed

New Here ,
Feb 23, 2017 Feb 23, 2017

I was forced to buy a new PC and transfer files and programs, I down loaded Elements 13 from Adobe internet using my purchased Serial number as before, however the Editor will not work nor the Organizer.  Anyone with a solution? I tried to uninstall and then reinstall... no success!

Do the following:

When error message comes on the screen, press PrtScr (this would put the screenshot to your sysytem's clipboard).

Open paint and hit Ctrl + V to paste it.

Save this paint file as .jpg at the location you wish to.

Attach it here by using the aforementioned option.

Hopefully this would work. In case it doesn't, please type in the contents of the error dialog here.

Thanks,

Arshla

Are you using Windows 7?

If yes, then please see this help article Elements 13 crashes at launch on Windows 7  and try the solution mentioned in it.

Mention if this works for you or not.

Hi John,

Please try updating Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable libraries once.

The detailed instruction on how to do so is available here https://helpx.adobe.com/elements-organizer/kb/Elements-applications-do-not-launch-on-Windows-10.html

Anwesha,

I have already uninstalled and reinstalled Elements 13 and the same problem exists.

At this point I am not sure that is an ideal solution.

Any other ideas?

Regards

John

Did you try out these steps:

  1. Download and install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 from the Microsoft site.
  2. Restart your computer.
  3. Launch Photoshop Elements, Adobe Premiere Elements, or Elements Organizer.

Thanks,

Anwesha
