Hi
Just raised the following as a bug with Adobe. Is anyone else having the same problem?
In the Organiser, select a folder, select Places - no map is displayed, the map area is completely black
Selecting either Pinned or Unpinned makes no difference.
Placing a photograph in the map space does not appear to work.
Adobe updates and Windows 10 updates both current.
I raised a very similar fault a year ago to the day. It was 3 months before it was fixed. Is this the same problem? Will it take 3 months to fix?

I have a similar issue but with Elements 12. It was working up until 2 days ago but in the last 48hrs the maps do not launch and neither can you see the red tags on the map. The program is also shutting itself down every 10-15mmins.
I likewise have all Adobe and Windows 10 updates installed. The issue 12 months ago was fixed and I too hope it is a shortened version of the 3 months downtime!
17th Aug - issue has not gone away - anyone else having issues?

Well
I have not received any sort of reply from Adobe concerning the fault report I raised.
However, I have received 2 unsolicited mails from Adobe, one telling me how good Photoshop Elements 2018 is, the other inviting me to take a trial download of PE 2018. Just coincidence I'm sure.
In the expectation that it will take some time for Adobe to supply a fix, if at all, I researched a work around.
I found a piece of Freeware - GeoSetter. It does all that PE Organiser does and more besides.
I used it to geotag a couple of my photographs, successfully.
I then viewed those photographs in the PE 14 Organiser.
Not only did the Organiser NOT recognise the GeoSetter geotag, when I "Saved Meta Data to File" the GPS location was deleted!
Not looking good for my workaround.
I decided to do some research on "Place" in the Organiser. I found this
Gps info in elements 14 organizer is incorrect. it is correct in the editor
Now it looks like the Organiser has not been placing photos correctly for some time.
So, I then searched for a tool that would show my photographs on a map. I found "myfotoplaces".
It will take geotagged photographs on Google Drive and show their places on a map.
I uploaded 8 of my photographs to Google Drive.
4 were geotagged using PE14 Organiser, the other 4 with GeoSetter.
Only the GeoSetter photographs were displayed.
I used GeoSetter to re-geotag one of the Organiser photograps - "myfotoplaces" then showed its location.
I have to confess I do not know what is going on here.
I simply want some thing that works, and I don't have the time to do more research.
So, I am going to use GeoSetter from now on and I will re-geotag all of my images, when I can find the time.
I will no longer save meta data to its file, rather I will do frequent incremental catalog backups.
This winter, I will have a good look at Google Photos.
That will pain me as not only have I spent hours cataloguing my files in PE, I like it's Organiser.
Get ready! An upgraded Adobe Community experience is coming in January.
