Elements 14 "Selected" Folder question.

New Here ,
Mar 01, 2017 Mar 01, 2017

I have looked on the forum and Adobe Photoshop Elements manuals for information about the "Selected" folder created by Elements.

My questions are:

What is the purpose of this folder? (Files show no name identification, but just alpha-numeric names)

Can they be deleted without corrupting my photo library?

It seems to me that these files are just taking up space.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Don't delete anything until the situation is clear.

The organizer does not store image files, only links to their real location on your drives.

If you delete files or folders, you'll lose your images.

The organizer uses a download module which allows copying the files from your camera or card reader to your drive. If the files are already on your drives, what the organizer does when 'getting' files is indexing, cataloguing the files in a catalog.

That said, I don't understand what you mean by a "Selected" folder?
