I have recently downloaded a purchased version of Elements 15 to my new lap top. When I try to do some applications I get an error message stating 'could not complete the command because there is not enough ram available.  If I go to Edit - preferences - performance I get error message 'An integer between 50 and 8 is required. Closest value inserted'

I am also having problems when on some occasions I am 'thrown' off Elements altogether without any of my work being saved.

I have had live chat with Adobe and was advised to go into my Registry and open a new folder in Elements 15 - OverridePhysicalMemoryMB and press enter,  I was then to change the Value data from 0 to 4000 (instead of 4096) I did this but I didn't see the number of 4096. I have done this and rebooted the system but it hasn't worked.  I went back to live chat to be told to uninstall and then re install Elements. I have done this but again it didn't work as I am still getting the same errors.  Live chat has now told me to come to this forum as they cannot help me any more but an expert will help me on this site.  I hope this is true.

The genesis of this would appear to be a Windows update in the past. There have been many posts/complaints re this issue. It requires a registry fix. See here, esp. the detailed post in the middle of the thread:
