Elements 15 won't start

Elements 15 was working fine on Win 10 for over a year.  All of a sudden, it won't load.  Did a re-install with no results.  Getting Exception code:  0xc0000005.  Help

This is sometimes caused by a component of free anti-virus or ad-aware software which may have been installed when bundled with another product update or browser add-on. Look for errors in the crash log by going to event viewer.

You may see something like:

Faulting module: LavasofTcpService64.dll

If so, remove the Lavasoft program and try launching Elements again. It may be listed as Web Companion.

  • -Go to the Windows Control Panel >> Programs (Uninstall a Program)
  • -Find and select Web Companion.
  • -Click Uninstall.

If that is not the cause, please copy and paste the crash log when you reply.

Apologies for this inconvenience.

Please see Adobe Photoshop Elements Has Stopped Working and try out the solution mentioned therein. Elements 15 should be working fine post this.
