Elements 2018 Editor doesn't return to the folder I'm working in

Working in the 2018 Editor, when I open a file it does not return to the last opened folder so I have to go back to the Drive and move through folders until I get to the one I'm currently working in. Is there a fix for this? Thanks!

I have no such problem because I use the organizer.

In the editor:

If I use the 'Open' menu I get back to the last opened folder.

If I open a file from the recently opened files, I don't get to the same folder.
