Elements 2018 kann RAW2 Datei nicht öffnen

Bin im besitz von Elements 2018, habe mir jetzt die Panasonic FZ 1000 II zugelegt.

Kann die RAW Dateien dieser Kamera nicht Öffnen!!

Angeblich ist Elements 2018 auf dem neusten Stand.

Was kann ich tun um die Raw2 Dateien zu öffnen??????

So, no raw converter version can read any new camera raw format  issued after the converter version.

Each new camera model comes with its own new, unique format.

New converter versions (ACR updatesp) are required later on.

With Elements, an update of the ACR plugin requires also an update of Elements itself. That's generally available only for the current Elements version (today, PSE 2022; version 20).

So, for all older Elements versions, Adobe offers a free solution: the free DNGconverter software, which batch converts a whole folder of proprietary raws to the open DNG raw format that all old ACR version can understand and edit.

The FZ 1000 II was first supported in Camera Raw 11.2.1.

Elements 2018 is only compatible with Camera Raw up to version 10.3

There are no updates for Elements 2018 to open FZ 1000 II Raw files.

Your options are to either pay to upgrade Elements to the current version or, stay with Elements 2018, and use the free DNG converter. You would then open the converted DNG files in Elements 2018.
