Elements 2022 Enhance items changed with upgrade?

Hi,

I just upgraded from Elements 13 to 2022.  Previosuly when I selected Enhance and then a submenu item, I got a grid with a dot in it over a copy of the image.  I could adjust the dot as I wished to get desired effects.  Now it all seems to be discreet on or off items.  Is there a way to return to the old set-up?

That's found under the auto smart tone option.  The grid appears once you starting dragging your mouse around the center of the image.
