Hello,

I purchased Elements 2023 for my mac [Monterey]

When I try and print photos I do not get to choose any paper type.

I can only select size and crop,

How and where do i select Luster, Glossy, etc?

I do not know if it is relevant but i have a Canon TS9150 printer.

It is crazy because if i install a dutch version on a windows computer it has more choices.

Hopefully some one can help me out.

Kind regards

M

Thank you Jeff, I had tried that also. But there is almost nothing to choose there there but paper size and feed sourc, number of copies and printername.

Still looking for a solution here and elsewhere...

Hi Jeff,

I have looked and alas no. It gives the same options as size, dubbelsided etc... but still without the option of choosing a papertype like semi or glossy etc...

Can you conclude something about that?

Hope so 🙂

Yes: it's a 100% printer issue, and has nothing to do with Photoshop Elements.

Make sure you have the latest printer driver installed:

https://www.canon-europe.com/support/consumer_products/products/fax__multifunctionals/inkjet/pixma_t...

MAke sure you have the lastest firmware installed:

https://www.canon-europe.com/support/consumer_products/products/fax__multifunctionals/inkjet/pixma_t...

THEN

A frequent problem is that when one selects add the printer the first thing that shows up is the Apple AirPrint version of the printer; you do not want that. You need to be sure you select and add the IJ Series version of the printer; that could take several minutes to appear.

Go back to System Preferences->Printers & Scanners and select the "+" icon to add the printer and wait for several minutes for the IJ Series version to appear. Then delete the AirPrint version.

Hi Glen, it was not exactly what i was looking for but you sure put me om a good track.

I cannot install other then as an Airprint but adding the Canon IJ software and updating the firmware in my printer added a " kind of" papertype selection. Now I can choos Rear tray and front tray and also A4, envelope and PHOTO...yaayyyy

Although it is not glossy or semi glossy I think it will not matter but i will test it soon. So thank you guys for putting me on the right track to a solution.

Warm regards

Henny

I have an inkjet printer- which I haven't used for printing in a couple of years- I just use the scanner.  Unlike many users over 90% of my stuff is only for online use. I have a color laser printer.  I sure do miss printing on glossy paper.
