Elements 2024 photomerge

 I'm trying to extract an object from one photo to move to another photo.  I can not get the quick selection tool to outline  just the object I want to extract.  Is there a way to  just the object I want to move instead  area of the entire photo?

Are you saying this don't work?   Make sure you are selecting the correct option  ADD- SUBTRACT OR NEW.
