When I upgraded to Elements 2024 I didnt realise that AutoSync was switched on thus I have synched files in Adobe's Cloud. I do not want anything in Adobe's cloud but I am
a/ Unable to stop thy synching process even though i have in preferences unticked the sync option
b/ Do not know how to 'bulk' reposses my photos back to their original place on my external Hard Drive
Also, now when importing from my camera, if I choose the SD card, the organiser automatically it seems, created an SD Folder and therefore I am seeing 3 sets of the same photo, one cataloged as on my external drive, one on the folder created on my system hard drive and one on the Adobe cloud.
For all intents and purposes Elements Organiser 2024 is more a dis-organiser whose sole aim seems to be to duplicate at all costs. By the way, I've run out of sync space and its offering me more of what I dont want......is this the reason? Well hacked off with Adobe.

Go to:
Elements Organizer > Preferences > Auto Sync
Make sure everything is unchecked - see image below.
Then try selecting and deleting directly in the cloud using the following link in your Safari web browser.

@denniswilloughby, I am also disgusted that Elements has chosen to turn Auto sync on by default without a fair warning to users as to what will happen. In my case, I happen to have a 1 TB Creative Cloud account. So Elements copied tens of thousands of files to the Cloud before I became aware of it!

Are you saying that you have tried to turn the Auto sync off in the Preferences>Auto sync dialog (as suggested by @meg576 ) but the preferences remain turned on? If so, I can provide you with a geeky solution that should work.

The Auto sync process should not have changed the location of your original photos on your hard drive. It merely uploads copies to the Elements Cloud and, depending on the settings, provides an additional folder for copies of files downloaded from the Cloud.

How are you importing the files to your catalog? If you are using the Adobe Photo Downloader (Import>From Camera or Card Reader), the files should be placed wherever you want them. If you are seeing duplicates imported, that is an entirely separate problem. Please explain in more detail how and where you are seeing the 3 sets.
Once you have confirmed that you are able to turn Auto sync off, I will give you some suggestions as to how to remove the synced files from the Cloud.

Macbook Air with Sonoma 14.6.1 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 2024
I was curious about the mobile version(beta) and so went through the setup and and succeeded in getting it to run. It began by searching my catalog and downloading random photos which were identified by a blue cloud in the upper right corner. When my trial session of the mobile version ended, I found 4 photos that had been downloaded to my notebook catalog. The 4 photo (see screenshot) cannot be deleted and if I try to delete them, it causes the catalkog to freeze. I have to force quit the program. How do I delete these 4 photos?
Thank you for the suggestions for a solution but after trying to implement them, I was unsuccessful. The problem with the four files downloaded from Adobe cloud is continuing to cause the program to freeze.
I was surprised to see ALL my catalog photos were uploaded to the Adobe creative cloud when i was experimenting with the Elements mobile app and the Creative Cloud program. I was too late in turning off the Auto-Sync feature before the files had been uploaded. Now I'm stuck with the Adobe Elements 2024 program that freezes. I am still searching for a fix. Any more ideas?

Greg_s, thanks for your reply. It seems from what I must have mis-read that once the photos have been synced that they were deleted from their original location, i've noted that when I try to Edit a photo in the cloud it is downloade to a 'Cloud' named file on my hard drive with %s in the file name, yet another set of photos..
On the SD folder, I am using Orgainser and since going to 2024 when I choose SD card from the drop down it appears to have created another location /Volumes/G-DRIVE Thunderbolt 3/Media/Pictures/Photos from Removable Media/SD Card a folder that I did not create (Knowingly). The three sets are on Organiser Media view, the cloud version with a blue cloud in the corner, one in the SD card location, the other on my external Hard Drive (Volumes/G-DRIVE Thunderbolt 3/Media). It's all so very confusing. As for syncing, Im not sure if that is permanently switched off as the allocated storage is now full, having read that i can delete the cloud stuff and not loose anything it would be nice to know how I/other users could bulk delete from the cloud. The Find>Visual search>Duplicate Photos is of not much use.
Thanks again for your prompt reply

@meg576 if you want to delete the Cloud Photos from the Elements Web try the following:
Click on the Elements Web button in the Organizer. That will take you to your Adobe Account web page in your browser that should look something like my combined screenshot below. Then perform the following actions shown in the screenshots.
